SME Scottish Event Florist of the Year 2020

The Multi Award Winning team at Blairgowrie florist; Something Special Flowers have been recognised once again!

Over the years, they have won lots of Awards for their Customer Service and skills in the Retail Sector and mostly the Wedding Industry.

"This time it is nice to have an accolade for the work we do in the Events side of our business" says Jillian who is part of the husband and wife team that orchestrate the running of this multi faceted business from their Blairgowrie Florist Shop.

"With Lockdown and the COVID-19 restrictions, the Event side of the business has come to a standstill"  says Stephen

The Event styling side of the business is exciting for the team as it is so diverse, ranging from small dinner parties to larger themed events and the team love the challenges of getting creative for those one off occasions.

With the forced absence from the Events setups and restrictions easing just enough for us to safely have a bit of fun with some of our props, we decided to have a little fun at the weekend and celebrate our LATEST AWARD at the same time.

"For the last 10 years, we have always managed to schedule in a music Festival and have made so many great friends during this downtime from our busy workload. We were all missing  the fun that festivals bring"

So  what started as a suggestion that a couple of friends could come over to camp in the garden for the night to swap stories of past events, over a few drinks ended in a two day event in the garden, complete with Main Stage, Booking Office, Cocktail Lounge and Camping.

 

Yes we missed the whole gang, but with just four of our closest festival friends  in attendance we created the whole experience and Blair Fest 2020 was born. With all our favorite bands playing on a large screen over the weekend.

"Lets hope next year we are back to the real thing with the whole team back together in the safe environment of a COVID-19 FREE music festival in the near future".

"Until then, who knows BlairFest may become a regular event on our Callander".
