Festive Spirit at Something Special Flowers
15 December 2018
It's been a busy few weeks for team Something Special Flowers.
Christmas always arrives early for us, as we take care of bringing the festive spirit to a few of our local hotels. First up was the Apex City Quay and Spa in Dundee, then the Dunkeld House Hotel. At both hotels our team got to work setting up Christmas trees and splashing the glitter around. This is the start of a feel good factor that we hope introduce to the hotels for the festive season and it is a great inspiration for us as we interact with the hotel guests and feed off their excitement and energy. The realisation that Christmas is just around the corner is a tonic indeed, for everyone.
Last weekend we had a call to look after the floral styling of the fabulous Kinross House for a 60th birthday party. This was especially exciting for our team, as Kinross House is very much an exclusive use venue and a new one to add to our portfolio.
We have had plenty weddings to look after and have a few more weddings over the festive period, as that prospect of a romantic winter wonderland wedding looks more likely to become a reality. Today were were up at Blair Castle and I don't know if the snow arrived in time for their ceremony, but looking out of the window tonight in Blairgowrie, it should be beautiful in the Hercules garden at the Castle tomorrow.
It has been a delight this year to asked again to look after the Christmas decoration for the annual dinner of a recruitment company which again took us to a new exclusive use venue. This time it was Gilmerton House down by North Berwick.
We still have one private mansion house to decorate at the beginning of next week and of course our web shop should be starting to ping orders from the family and friends of Blair folk in preparation of their Christmas gift delivery.
Throw in a couple of weeks wreath making classes and a shop visit from Santa Claus and you can see how that energy that our team feeds off can be of use at this time of year.
It goes without saying that we look forward to our customers popping into our shop to say hi ,browse through our bespoke arrangements and gifts and in doing so keeping us fueled for the final run in to the big day.
Just a thought!
Now that we see the snow out side, we should have asked Santa if he has a spare sleigh. We've never been stuck with deliveries because of the weather, but a flying sleigh would be fun!
On that note. Please do encourage you friends and family to order direct either by telephone or online in our new web shop www.somethingspecialflowers.co.uk as if its not us delivering, then it will be a courier delivery from a central makeup shed somewhere who wont have our expert local knowledge and bespoke design talents.
From all the team at Something Special Flowers.
We wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a happy healthy and prosperous New Year!
